Reflecting on the insights from the text, I've recognized some strengths and areas where I can improve in my study habits. I feel comfortable with my notes as it helps me organize information and retain it better. Additionally, I'm focused about sticking to a schedule. This ensures I manage my time efficiently. However, I acknowledge that I could work on maintaining focus during study sessions and avoiding last-minute rushes. I look forward to refining my time management skills to create more balance. Lastly, I want to enhance my ability to extract key details from readings to further my understanding of the topics. By being aware of these strengths and areas for growth, I hope to further my studies.

The videos on project management provided valuable insights into the essential components and techniques required for successful project execution. They emphasized that projects are unique endeavors with defined objectives and highlighted the importance of tools like Gantt charts for visualizing project timelines. Key phases such as initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing were discussed. These further emphasized the need for effective management across various domains including time, scope, cost, and quality. The significance of a work breakdown structure in organizing project deliverables and defining project scope was focused on. These videos shed light on the skill set encompassing leadership, communication, and problem-solving vital for effective project management.



Part 4: Check Out Previous Capstones


Open energy dashboard: The Open Energy Dashboard project introduced an exciting new feature allowing users to visualize energy data in 3D format. Showcasing how date, hour, and energy readings are displayed on different axes improving user interaction. However, I felt there could have been more insight into the practical benefits for users and any challenges faced during implementation.


dHUNTR: dHUNTR presented a comprehensive tool for simplifying the recruitment process by gathering company data. Leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform it effectively conveyed the platform's capabilities in providing a seamless search experience. While well-structured, I believe it could have delved deeper into specific features to clarify its value.


Valor Tabletop RPG for Foundry Virtual Tabletop: The Valor Tabletop RPG project aimed to streamline character creation and calculations within Foundry Virtual Tabletop. It successfully showcased the integration of the Valor ruleset, but I wished for a more detailed demonstration of the automation features and future development plans. Overall, it was an intriguing project with great potential.


Part 5: Summarize Your Week on Your Learning Journal

This week's class focused heavily on writing skills and included more content compared to the previous week. I realized the importance of double-checking due dates, as some projects have deadlines that differ from the Canvas calendar. We also dove into OLI and explored effective group collaboration techniques. The insights gained from OLI are helpfull for navigating group projects, enhancing teamwork, and maximizing productivity. Overall, the week provided essential learning experiences in project management and collaboration.
